US History Writing Lessons IEW Level B
This class is best for students who have taken an IEW Level A course or are at least 11 years old. It is a good class for older students who are taking their first IEW course.
Writing is a wonderful way to influence other people and help change the world! Come learn how to build those skills in yourself. IEW courses teach all the skills necessary to write fabulously and to enjoy the whole process. We will fly through the units of structure and style learning how to use the best words and understand what it takes to be a powerful and influential writer.
Covering the nine IEW units, this course develops composition, grammar, and vocabulary skills while students write about American history from the Explorers to the Twentieth Century. We will also be reading and discussing six novels that go along with our writing assignments.Those new to Excellence in Writing will enjoy learning the elements of structure and style, and those with Excellence in Writing experience will enjoy practicing and improving their skills.
